Old South Engraving, Inc. utilizes GCC Spirit CO2 Laser technology to laser etch various types of material that includes Acrylic, Glass, Wood, Anodized Aluminum, Powder Coated Stainless Steel, Leather, and Ceramic.  Click on Section Titles for Examples.
Acrylic can be a nice alternative to glass. One of the more popular items is the Acrylic Cresent(s). These are available in several sizes and are often used to replicate Wedding Invitations, Announcements, and Awards.  Other Acrylic items include floating plaques and standard awards.  
Engraving in wood can be both a formal and informal gift medium. We have engraved clocks, folding knifes, lazy susans, large wall clocks, cutting boards, plaques, bbq sets, urns, gift boxes, frames, wooden nickles, awards, birth announcement plaques, and even display toys.  Turning ideas into a gift to remember is always a fun thing to do. One of the more memoriable gifts to make was the "Sushi Training Center" pictured to the left. It was an office fish tank for a sushi eater. Lots of fun to make and even more fun as a gift.  
Glass has been a popular engraving medium for gifts. Engraving that special wine bottle, drinking mug, glasses, or glass plate is always a great gift. CO2 lasers lightly "etch" glass by fracturing the glass with a powerful light beam. The resulting "etch" looks more like a frosting effect.  We can take your ideas and transform them into that special gift that anyone would be happy to receive.  Glass is heavy and fragile to ship and must be packed with care to ensure safe transporting.
